This is an absolutely beautiful coffee table made of real wood and marble. As someone else noted, it is VERY heavy, which makes assembly (and moving the table in general) a bit tricky. (I did it upside down on a yoga mat -- an approach I'd recommend). I wouldn't change the weight, however, as it contributes to the quality feel of the piece. The table has squishy feet to protect your floors, which mean you don't have to worry if you need to slide it a bit to reposition it once it's assembled. That was important to me, especially because I live in a rental and don't want to damage anything! I did notice the feet seemed to let out some dirt or manufacturing dust if you pulled them out or pushed them to one side, but that was not a big deal. I feel it's important to say that the table I received had a major crack in the wood shelf. It looks as if maybe there was a crack in the wood to begin with that was glued/fused, but then came apart. After going back and forth -- Simpli Home has been very responsive -- they are sending me a new table. Although it has been a lengthy process, I appreciate that they've so thoroughly replied and are remedying the issue. Overall, I would recommend this piece. It's a beautiful addition to my small living room and the quality is evident. I also am happy to support a company that has excellent service.

Let me say upfront that I do overall like this coffee table. It mimics the look and feel I was going for with a price I could justify! Here are a couple of things I'd like to mention: 1) The legs/brackets look very different in real life than how they are presented in the listing photos. The actual finishing is much darker/less uniform and is "antique-ified" to put it politely (see photos.) While I don't personally mind the look overall, I still think it needs to be pointed out. If you are purchasing this table expecting the bright gold uniform legs shown in the listing, you will be disappointed. 2) The wood shelf is made up of several pieces glued together from the factory. I don't have any issue with that, but it could have been done much better. Gaps with visible glue and wood filler are seen throughout. From a normal distance the shelf looks fine, just don't expect anywhere near perfection. 3) The main reason I purchased this coffee table in the first place-- the marble top. It is gorgeous! I don't have any other marble pieces to compare it to, so take this with a grain of salt, but it is everything I had hoped it would be! 4) Shipping and assembly were relatively easy. Do be prepared for a big, heavy box. I was concerned that I would have something chip/crack in transit, but luckily everything made it here in one piece. Overall, I'm fairly happy with the coffee table for the price I paid. It is going to look great in my new living room!
