All said and done, it works. Cools my 1,000 sq ft house in 104 weather. Fedex delivered it on its side. Probably started that way in Georgia. So I let it sit for 24 hours upright to let the oil drain back into the compressor. 2 hours isnt enough. When I finally plugged it in and ran it, did just fine. Im sure that what killed others AC was them plugging them in right off and not letting them sit upright a while. Burned up the compressors. Just blow hot air when you do that. The remote has a magnet on the base, thats neat. Stick it anywhere. Only thing I dont like is the display turns off to save power. Its annoying to me, but then again Im old school. No biggie. Works and sounds better than a Frigidaire, hated my 15,000 BTU unit from day one with them. GE seems to have higher fan output and better compressor operation. Almost cant tell when it kicks in. This one is a winner so far. See how that holds up over time.

Ac unit so far works very well,the ability to adjust ac unit into Economy mode to turnoff unit when cooled to preset temperature is great and saves electrical bill.
