Got this for a knee that I somehow "aggravated " and didn't want to be taking pain pills all day. I would wear it as soon as I got out of bed and didn't remove it until I went back to bed. It helped with some of the pain, and I was able to cut the pain pills back to two or three a day. Also wearing it was a reminder to use caution when walking and doing things during the day. I wore it for a week, then tried a day without it. Thing seemed to be fine, until I stepped the wrong way. Wore it for a few more days, and everything seems back to normal.
