Read instructions first. I put one good coat on and let it dry about two days, and then put another coat on. I used a 100% cotton cloth It turned out great, but my cutting block was bone dry before I started. I put it on the bottom and the sides too. Looks great.

This is a great product I wished I had bought many years ago. It's just a simple oil similar to baby oil but it's odorless and tasteless and it made my wooden utensils look great. Really easy to apply, took less than 5 minutes to do about 8 utensils. I have an 11 year old over abused wooden spoon that has been washed over and over again in the dishwasher, this is the reason I bought the oil hoping to save my spoon. It didn't perform miracles, but it did make my spoon look a lot better. I just really wish I had started doing this a decade ago.
