The material is lightweight but feels a little heavy and the color is too shiny for me, it's kind of silky (I ordered the white one) it does wrinkle fast (what I don't like about head scarfs) I am in the middle of discovering the right head scarf for me so this is okay for now, I noticed it looks better with a baseball cap (I don't leave the head scarf hanging, I wrap it around in a bun, you can't see the bun though) without a hat you can see the color of my hair so that's how I got the idea of wearing a baseball cap, hope this helps!
