I bought it to use as a dish for my cat because she takes all her food and eats it off the floor due to size and I'm pretty sure her whiskers, this seems to work as she stuck her face in the middle of the hole and just started eating and didn't pick food out like she normally does. this might be good for kids, but I would recommend it for cats who like to put their food on the floor before they eat
