I was very disappointed when I found out that our local Walmart and Albertsons have stopped selling this item. We love it for chipped beef on toast and for the holidays spread cream cheese on the meat and wrap it around a dill pickle, the family loves them and I was worried we wouldn't be able to have them any more. the price was higher than in the past but thankfully we were able to get some!!!!

Just Like Grandma Made!
My local Walmart was out of stock for this item, so I ordered it from Walmart.com. I chopped this beef finely then add it to a cream sauce (butter, flour, milk) and serve it over toast, just like my mother and grandmother made! My grown daughters and their husbands LOVE it! We call it chipped beef gravy on toast.

I'm not sure what it is about dried beef packaged in a jar, but it just seems to keep better and is fresher than what I've bought in a plastic bag. I also appreciate being able to keep it in the cupboard instead of the fridge! Definitely my favorite brand!
