The color and texture of these is beautiful, I couldn't wait to redo my bathroom floor. The planks are long and easy to install and I know Shaw is a very reputable company as well. I highly recommend these, and look forward to redoing my other bathroom and hallway.

For longer than I care to admit I've had a second floor bathroom that needed some serious updating. Bit by bit I've worked on it but the flooring has kind of eluded me, until now. The décor in my bathroom is fishing themed and I've struggled to find something that would match and be easy enough to install without a professional. The Harvest Moon Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring in the color Mineral Chestnut from Shaw Flooring was exactly what I had been looking for... Package Contents: 12 vinyl planks that measure 48-1/4” long by 7-3/8” wide. Note, the box is HEAVY! Color/Style: I love the Mineral Chestnut color! It's grayish with hints of brown and was completely perfect for the room I was working on and its décor. The wood grain pattern is really nice but it does take time to match things up side/side and end/end. Instructions: No printed instructions. A QR code on the box takes you to the maker's website where it has a list of instructions for various flooring models. Those instructions were fairly straightforward and even give you a list of tools needed. Due to the difficulty of the room I was working in I did have to find some Youtube type videos to help solve some problem spots. Installation: It's pretty much as easy as stated. Just place the planks and snap each one into place. But...if you have an awkward shaped room, an unlevel floor, uneven walls, have to work around existing large furniture, or like me you have all of that, it can get a little complicated. Some things to note: Check each plank for damage. Measure, measure, measure! Pay very close attention to orientation of both plank and furniture when trimming the planks. Keep the lines you intend to trim off STRAIGHT and don't trim the planks too narrowly. Going around corners and through door frames can be tricky but it can be done with a little ingenuity and a lot of patience. Be careful with the rubber lip that clicks the planks into place as it is designed to be trimmed off as needed and can break off accidentally. Don't put too much pressure on short plank ends when tapping them into place. Wear/Use: When you look at the planks they seem a little thin but they are surprisingly strong and comfortable to walk on. They are not exactly the warmest on bare feet in the middle of the night but I fixed that with a couple of bathmats. I have accidentally dropped a couple of things and it has been scratch/dent resistant with smaller/lighter items, only one tool caused a problem. As time goes by we will see how the wood grain 'sticker' layer holds up to repeated foot traffic. Cleaning: It's super easy to clean the waterproof flooring once it is in place, just a dust mop for the most part. In fact, the pencil lines I drew on while measuring took just a quick rub of my thumb and they were gone. Overall: I am really happy with how the Harvest Moon Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring looks and how much of a difference it made in my bathroom. It's like a whole new room in there! With some tools and a few skills it's a fairly easy DIY project that nearly anyone can do themselves. When all was said and done I used close to 2-1/2 boxes to transform a room and I am proud to say that, with some help from my dad I did the work myself...
