Overall I am very happy with this faux wolf fur. I did believe that it was a finished piece, that is, not cut from a bolt. I do wish that they would have used a razor to cut to size, rather than scissors. The amount of loose hair is something else! I had to run it in the dryer (no heat) to get rid of the loose pieces. Three of the ends are fine, but the third end (see picture) looks as if it was melted. So this section can't be used. Also, there are holes all the way up the backing material on the end piece, so that kills a little over an inch of product from being used. For feel, & holding, it does a very good job. It is very soft & really feels like fur. I can run my mustache comb through it, & only a few strands will come off. Doing this, of course will get the fur lined up, & looks neat & clean. That depends on what you're using the fur for. As a throw, this is fine as is. The backing is very strong, & overall the fibers/strands are in place firmly. I don't have any issues, razor cutting the backing. I can glue or manipulate this faux fur, any way that I need to. That is, with in it's confines. It doesn't have a plastic or fake smell to it, that some pieces can. It certainly doesn't have a tanner's smell to it either. The backing closely matches the fur, & it looks pretty natural, as can be for fabricated. I am very happy with the purchase, & look to be getting more as time goes on.
