I was able to charge my cell phone and this would be great if you needed a fan or anything you would need electricity for while you are out camping. It isn't as quiet as I expected it to be but it isn't as loud as bigger generators either. Didn't take much fuel to get it started either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value product for this output level and price point. The shape is compact without parts sticking out for easy storage when I'm not using it. It's a little heavier than some other 1000w generators but not too heavy to carry easily and throw in the car. After several pulls the first time it now starts quick consistently and runs smoothly for a small engine. It strikes a good balance of quietness and output. I find the more quiet generators struggle with matching the output advertised. The choke/run switch feels a little flimsy, it works fine now but over a lot of use I could see the plastic breaking. Small detail but could be designed better in my opinion. The on/off switch built into the gas cap is a great design that works well. I've had others that loosen after long run times and sometimes the cap falls off. I wish the outlets were side by side for tall plugs but they're spaced apart enough for most uses and I typically use an extension cord so not an issue for me. I tested a lot of different products and it handled everything it “should” power. I tested a heat gun, few lights, and a box fan all at the same time. It was overloaded when I turned the fan or heat gun up to the highest level. I used my shop vac and a grinder as well on work around the yard. I was able to use a blender once when I was tailgating which tasted great. It tripped the overload on my smaller heater as expected, I wasn't able to test but I bet it could handle very small heater or AC units for periodic car or camping use. I personally use it mostly to charge my external battery when we're on longer camping trips or the rare emergency situations at home. I tested the carbon monoxide sensor in my garage and it worked twice in a row. Overall this is a great 1000w generator. Its compact design and consistent output make it great for camping. I'm very happy with the value and would recommend this for use with essential devices when camping or long day trips. This generator is easy to bring along, reliable, and convenient.
