Sealy 8" Gel Memory Foam Mattress, King, Medium Firm

I purchased this in a king size. I went from an old Tempur-pedic to this mattress. I followed the directions on the box, 1st of all with a king size you really need two people for the unboxing on this. I've bought a similar matress in a full size for another room but with it being smaller, it was not as difficult to open and I could do it by myself. But the king-size you definitely need 2 people because when it flipped open it was like an angry taco and it was all over the place as it unfolded. The directions on the box says that you can sleep on it the first night. After opening it it had 6 hours to open or puff up whatever you want to call it. I really do not recommend following those directions sleeping on it the first night. The entire night I kept waking up and thinking this was the worst purchase I've ever made. Trying to figure out how I was going to get this thing returned. Gave it a go on the second night and the second night it was much better but I still have my hesitations about keeping it. By the third night it was getting its consistency and getting a little firmer. By the fourth night it was perfection. It's one of the best sleeps that I've had in a long time. My body aches on waking are completely gone. I honestly did not realize how much a mattress could affect your sleep. I'm not exhausted when I wake up in the morning and my body doesn't hurt. I've had the best night sleep in the past week that I've had in years. The mattress is completely worth the price. But it needs way more time to develop its firmness than what the directions entail. It's not a super hard mattress but it gives great support and it moulds to every curve in your body. I haven't been able to sleep on My back in years, because my previous mattress didn't conform to my knees and we kill my legs in the middle of the night. I'm back to being a back sleeper now. I wouldn't hesitate twice for buying this mattress for another room.
