Sauder 421414 Craft Pro Series Hutch, White Finish

The assembly went well and the hutch looks great on top of the storage cabinet. Even though I followed instructions and used the pre-drilled holes for the door hardware, the top doors don't meet in the middle, leaving more than a 1/4 inch gap. This causes the outer edges of the doors to rub against the outer hutch walls. Over time, this will likely cause damage to the doors and walls.

I purchased two of these for my craft room. The experience putting the 1st one together was good. The quality is a 4 out of 5. Overall, most parts lined up well and it went together easily. The finish has some flaws and not all pieces are the same shade of white. The doors look really weird because they are bright white while the rest of the unit is dingy white in comparison. The 2nd unit has so many flaws. All of the pieces are different shades. The doors and top panel are really bright in comparison. There are a lot of darker spots where the finish looks incomplete. There are also spots that have no finish at all. It looks like it was sanded. ??? The shelf is cracked and cannot be used. aside from the cracked shelf, it is driving me nuts that both of the units are different heights. So. . . . when I finally get the units to place them on, they cannot be placed side-by-side because of that. All of my other pieces from Sauder have been nice, but these are not on par with the others.
