This was my first flat screen tv and I don't really enjoy the process of discovery to figure out all the terminology and features that is required to make a responsible purchase that I will be most happy with in the long run. Still, the 'homework' always pays off so I muddled through and ordered this tv. I always make a point to read customer reviews because I think they are much more objective. I especially like being able to read any regrets they have so my hindsight is less regretful. I was afraid 50 inches would be too large for my viewing room. I nearly cancelled the order several times but Black Friday prices were too good to pass up so I bought the bigger choice. Now I can say, it was much easier to set up and start using, although I had help. The 'smart' aspects of the tv were a no brainer if you use a computer. It was much too bright so I lowered the brightness so it didn't hurt my eyes. The only recommendation I would make would be to invest in a sound bar with a subwoofer if you can afford it. Great marketing.........the sound of the ultra HD smart tv picture kind of sucks. Then I bought a blu ray player so the total HD experience would suggest a bit more investment then just the tv itself. I would buy this tv again. Time will tell if it lasts.

Black Friday 2016 online purchase. Beautiful picture. set up was easy , lightweight, a few Philips head screws for the stand, a couple of tries to find my Verizon WiFi router. Not a fan of the remote (too simplified), I prefer more buttons for quicker access to what I want to do. Sound is great. Useful built in apps , can remove the ones you don't like. Fits well in a room 14x12 on a stand. No printed owners manual, too bad there are a lot of fine tuning features that you will have to lookup online if you want to play around with the settings. TV manufacturers should also include their codes for 3Rd party remote set ups. $398.00 plus tax and $6.00 quicker shipping. Extended warranty 3yr.$29.95 Samsung 50" 4K.
