We like them
Our child is not able to get into areas that have these on the doors. We have them on all doors leading to the pool area and feel very confident that she is not able to open the doors. Additionally, the noise made when she does attempt to open a door with this product on it alerts us to where she is and what she is trying to do.

I'm a grandparent with arthritis in my hands
I really couldn't open the door on some days. The old kind you had were easier as you squeezed and the inside of the knob cover was sticky and contacted the door. A toddler's hands wouldn't be big enough to grip the knob tightly enough to open it but an adult could.
