I like it for what I need it for. Not sure if strength. I use it to block stairs from dog going up so it is between railings freely, not on wall, nor did I use the wall brackets. Looks nicer then the old white ones that make with the light wood. Very stylish.

The Evenflo baby gate has been really reliable for us. It's easy to set up, doesn't damage the walls, and it's light enough to move around when needed. Once you get the tension right, it holds strong and keeps the kids where they need to be. For a budget-friendly gate, it works surprisingly well.
