It was not too difficult to put together. The long horizontal bars that keep the shelves up- -the flat edge needs to face upwards. The bottom edge is slanted. If you put it the wrong way, the shelves won't fit in place. Nice item for the price of $60 on sale. Boards are a bit thin but seem sturdy so far.

Strong and Easy!
I was particularly impressed with the ease of assembly. The upright parts are in two pieces, and I was dreading assembling the unit because of past experiences with similar designs. But these came with rigid angle brackets that slip easily over the ends of the two halves. Much better than previous designs where the connection must be made with the crossarm lugs.
