OMG! I do NOT like to review products or items too early or soon after receiving them, unless they're really terrible, because I'm wary that they'll stop working or something will happen and then I would have steered someone wrong. I prefer to leave one when something is tested for a bit and I can be sure that I can solidly recommend or not. This item, however, I fell in love with the moment I opened it, and was ready to marry it the first time I heard it. LOL! Okay, so first of all. It is well made. I'm used to receiving plasticky stuff from that other ordering place we all know about. And sure, this is partly plastic, but GOOD plastic, which I kind of forgot existed! The green rope - that's all I can think to call it, is well placed, stands out in that it look like one of the lights; the volume buttons are big; and all of the other usable buttons are on one great rubber strip thing that doesn't look like it's going anywhere. It has a round light at the top which can be changed, but it's not very apparent unless it's in the dark or mostly dark. That's okay as that's not really a selling point to me, personally. THE BIGGEST thing, of course, for me, is the SOUND! I have no idea what the reviewers who say this thing is not loud were listening to, but I bought mine LITERALLY to put OUTSIDE next to our inflatable Santa to play Christmas tunes ... and I am SO GLAD that I did not listen to the naysayers! The music was SO loud (and not even on the loudest setting), that we could hear it INSIDE the house AND my son asked me if I thought it would bother the neighbors. HAHAHA!!! I LOVE it!!!!
