A Great Source Of Protein!

I'm a caregiver for my 94 year old mother. When she fell a year ago, she spent about a month in a local nursing home. While she was there I noticed that they were giving her this supplemental protein. They explained that since she was not eating much (she always says she's not hungry) that this was a great source of protein for her. I just add the recommended amount to her morning juice and the cherry flavor mixes with the grape juice very nicely. Since she has been taking this regularly, her health has actually improved enough to come out of hospice care.

Pro-Stat is a NEED post surgical if diabetic

Pro-Stat was recommended by both the Oncology and Wound Care departments at the VA after a double mastectomy. It is an out of pocket expense that is well worth every drop if you can fit it in your budget. Of the flavors, the Citrus Splash is my favorite followed by Vanilla so far. I have the Peach on the shelf when I am done with the Citrus Splash. I do not recommend the Cherry as it is too viscous and has a horrible after taste IMO. Adding Pro-Stat to my diet really jump started my wound healing as I am a diabetic. A 1-oz shot of Pro-Stat three times a day (during/after meals) is the best way to take the shot so you have something to chase the flavor or texture if you do not prefer it like I did with the Cherry. The Vanilla and the Citrus Splash did not require having a chaser drink or food. I strongly recommend Pro-Stat if you are post surgical and especially if you are a diabetic.
