WATERFALL PUMP 3200GPH (Pack of 1)

I have a 4000 gallon koi pond with a 750 gallon upper pond. I use this pump to create a waterfall between the two ponds. I was using a direct drive pump. The seals went out on my old pump after 1 1/2 years (thank goodness for GFI outlets). I wanted a pump that was more energy efficient and would last longer. After doing some research this pump fit the specifications that were important to me. I do wish they had included a fitting for those of using a vertical pump arrangement. The discharge of the pump needs to be redirected "up" in this case and requires the user to cobble an adapter together. Pump comes packaged in a black plastic "cage" ment to protect it from large debris entering the impeller. This must be opened and cleaned. It would be nice if the opening process were easier. So far the pump has been running smoothly and without any problems. Pump looks to be built very well (albeit in China). Pump cord length is approx. 15 feet long.
