Volume one in LTJ Bukem's new series of Good Looking compilations gathers together archival (and seminal) 12-inch tracks from the illustrious label's ten-year history. Collected from limited-quantity vinyl or from CD EPs, POINTS IN TIME is intended for novices and enthusiasts alike. And it's a boon for those unable to find the long-out-of-print originals.
PFM's "The Western", with its subway electronics and whip-crack rhythm, shows up here minus MC Conrad's rap overlay (found on LOGICAL PROGRESSION), while Bukem and Peshay pump out the mental overdrive of "19.5". Blame is represented by the helicopter rush and cyberpunk electronics of "Overhead Projections," while Blu Mar Ten displays the fountain of interstellar gorgeousness that is "Slipstream." Also on board are Source Direct (in their pre-techstep phase), Artemis, and Total Science.
