I had to buy this for my kitten who was going to go get fixed, ( and the last carrier I had was made out of cloth which was totally worthless). This one - they're right; if the cat weighs over 10 pounds it's not gonna be good for a big cat. my 10 pounder can snuggle up inside of it, but I would not carry him from the handle I would carry him from the bottom. I'd be afraid the little screws might come loose on a heavy cat, but my cat only weighed 5 pounds so I didn't have to worry so far. It's been a good investment.

I purchased 2 of these and let me tell you, they were the attention getters from everyone in the vacinity. I mean the pet handling workers who see nothing but pets in their carriers. Not one person had ever seen top-loading pet carriers, ever. What a game changer. like night and day. So easy to get my 2 cats inside. One motion, then close the lid and you're done. Stress-free, as opposed to stressful loading with the side/end door carriers.
