For many sleepers, it takes 2 - 4 weeks for muscles and pressure points to adapt to a new level of firmness; what feels too hard at first can soften into balanced support as your body adjusts. We’re glad you found a simple fix with the mattress cover to make it work for you in the meantime! Regarding the mattress being thick, heavy, and needing two people to carry the box: We completely understand this was a hassle. Mattresses are inherently large items, and the 14" Queen size you purchased is designed with extra thickness for enhanced comfort - this does mean it will be heavier than smaller or thinner models. To make it as manageable as possible, we compress the mattress into the smallest possible packaging for delivery, but the size and thickness of a Queen mattress do mean it will still require a little extra help to move.
