This is great for making %26 carrying both cold %26 hot drinks. The top is a bit awkward to hold if your hands are small, so be careful because it's heavy when full. I feel like it's better suited for cold drinks than hot. I used it for hot tea while sick %26 it stayed piping hot for about 1½ - 2 hours, comfortably hot/very warm for about 4 hours, then lukewarm for about 4 hours more. It kept ice only slightly melted for about 2 full days. It's great purchase for traveling on long trips or outings where you'd want hot chocolate, coffee, tea or even mixed drinks.

I bought this having owned an older 1/2 gallon version. I have absolutely no complaints about this brand or product. I work in the heat, so I fill it half way with ice then top it with water. Refilled it before I left work on my Friday and still has ice almost 48hrs later. This is an awesome container. Definitely worth buying for working outside, camping, hiking, or whatever you'd use it for.

I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first but when this thing arrived I immediately noticed that it was well made and looked very durable. The ice retention on its maiden voyage was over 72 hours and half of that time was in a very hot car in the San Antonio heat. I would definitely buy again, 10/10 would recommend.
