We've used Lasco fans for many years and they seem to never wear out. This model makes an excellent night fan and looks great. Even the lowest speed provides plenty of wind chill. It's quiet, powerful and quality made. The type of plastic they used for the grille is soft, flexible and very resistant to breaking, so the grille can easily be removed for cleaning and reinstalled without tools. This Lasco 1827 Pedestal Fan is a great American-made value!
