We bought this lamp for our enclosed porch. We didn't expect much when it came in a rather small box. We wondered where the round lampshade was in the box! However, it was just cleverly condensed inside the box. I was able to assemble it in minutes. The flat lamp shade came to life by sticking Velcro strips together. It is adorable. We love the look of it and the easy way the lamp lights when you step on the floor switch. No one can see the Velcro on the shade, and we've received several compliments about the floor lamp. It also has a hefty, stable weight so that we don't worry about it falling over. The best part is that the light direction can be adjusted in a wide arc, which comes in handy. We were so impressed, we ordered another brown floor lamp just like it for another room. Sometimes, good things really do come in small packages.

The style is very nice in person. The light variations are good on the eyes. I bought it to brighten up a reading area. Assembly was easy and quick. My only negative was that batteries for the remote were not included so make sure you have aaa on hand. And I still can't figure out how to work the 1 hour shut off timer. In all I love my new lamp though.
