this review is for the ESSENTIALS ARMLESS TASK CHAIR model E1009
by OFM retail. this office-style desk chair comes with a 3 yr
limited warranty and is certified for low chemical emissions,
keeping children in mind.
the assembly instructions does show the chair as having a
weight limit capacity of 250lbs. that in itself is a pleasure to
know considering much of my family weighs an average of that
amount.
during the assembling process, i studied the pieces before
putting them together, noticing the difference between those
parts and previous chairs ive acquired through the years. i was
pleased to see that the base itself was much heavier than many
others ive assembled and experienced using. the plastic itself
is thick and well made, having the usual 5 wheel supports.
assembly was easy and simple. it comes with some screws and
the allen wrench to tighten them with. this is just to secure the
seat to the height adjustment seat mechanism. all the rest of
the parts just snap or slide together.
the wheels themselves are thick and wide.this is also where
the best weight support comes into play.
in the extended height position,floor to top of seat, measures
20 1/2" inches. the seat width measures 17 1/2" inches from side
to side, and 15 3/4" from edge of the front of the seat to the
back edge of the seat. the chair is armless. the padding on the
seat is thick and comfortable. its definitely the style of chair
a person needs to use at desk or table to do your business or
doing your homework or studying.
this model E1009 ESSENTIALS ARMLESS TASK CHAIR mesh/fabric,
does not sport any springing type adjustment for tilting the
seat backward. nor does it have extra holes to be able to adjust
the seat back further. you just set it and forget it. nothing
else to do except for after a few months of use, check the
screws for tightness that hold the seat to the seat adjustment
lever(the part that you use to push to adjust the seat up and
down).
my personal opinion is that this chair is perfect for the
student or basic office duties but definitely for keeping busy.
this is not a chair to be able to sit back in and relax. but
this chair is strong and durable. not good for people who have
physical back disabilities though. but this chair still rates
a 10 on a scale of 1-10, being 10 is the best.
