The flip flops were nice and what I was looking for but the sole is smooth so I am afraid when they get wet my feet would slide all over the shoe making it hard to walk. It is hard to find a good comfortable flip flop that has a good grip on your foot for older people. Thanks anyway

I grew up in FL and always had flip flops like these--thick sole, cloth straps and no button-like things on the bottom. I have looked for this type of flip flop for some time here in NY, but could only find the thin soled, button ones that hurt my feet. these are fantastic.
