Ninja Belgian Waffle Maker PRO NeverStick, BW1001

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the box, I see the device, measuring cup, quick start guide, recipe book, and owners guide.  While the quick start guide is very clear with well-illustrated pictures, the owner's guide is much more informative.  In the owner's guide, there is helpful information.  It clearly states that before your first use, you should turn the unit on its highest setting for ten minutes to remove any residue and odor traces.  This was quick and easy. It also states never to use cooking spray on the device (glad that was clearly spelled out as that is what most people would use), to grease their waffle makers.  Also, it states to use cooking oil to season the plates.  The quick start guide has some nice recipes. I am really looking forward to making the Layered Waffle Cake!   I went directly to my pantry and took out the boxed pancake and waffle mix (I know don't judge me; I did not make from scratch).  I made the mix and warmed up the unit.  I looked at the book and decided I wanted to put the setting on number 2 which, by the picture, looks like a perfect golden color.  I followed the instructions, which stated to start with ¾ of the cup of batter.  I poured the batter in and waited for the green light.  Now, if you have ever used one of those waffle makers at the hotels, you know they are fast. Also, you know that with waffle makers, you always have batter running out the sides.  Well, with the Ninja there is no batter running out!  Who designed this device?  I want to personally thank you!  There was no mess, whatsoever.  Now back to that hotel waffle maker, they are very fast, the Ninja, on the other hand, is a little slower.  I did not mind the trade off for time versus the mess of traditional waffle makers is well worth it.  The first waffle came out ¾ just like the amount of batter I poured in.  So, I used a whole cup and there it was, the perfect waffle.  Oh, I almost forgot the most important two words – Never Stick – well again the Ninja does not disappoint, waffle after waffle came out clean and perfectly!  Again, who designed this?   The color of the waffle was picture perfect. Now, I will say I like a little crisp bite of waffle, so next time I will go to the number 3 setting.  Speaking of settings for cooking, there is a specialty setting. I found this interesting so what is this setting for?  Well, it is for gently cooking batters higher in sugar like banana bread, (what? Banana Bread waffles, I can't wait) cake mix or brownie waffles.  To me, this has opened a whole new waffle world!   Okay, the waffles were tremendous, but now comes what most people dread – the clean-up. No problem here, this was the best, easiest clean-up of a waffle maker I have ever done.  I just let it cool down, cleaned with a damp soapy cloth, and cleaned up with another cloth.  Amazing – no time at all.   This device is now going to be my go-to device for breakfast.  It was all so effortless and quick.  Thank you, Ninja, you have made me a waffle addict.

I love my Ninja waffle maker. It's true to its name, the waffles don't stick! There is no guesswork when it comes to making the perfect waffle. The lights tell you when the waffle maker is hot enough to pour in the batter, and it will alert you when it's cooked to perfection.
