Campbell Hausfeld VT6271 3.7 HP 30 Gallon Oil-Lube Horizontal Portable Air Compressor

I bought this compressor from northern tool about 4 months ago and it is an excellent product for the price. I use it in my garage for everything from tire inflation to running air tools and it keeps up well. The only problem i have had was the company that shipped it damaged the regulator when they took it off the truck. I repaired that myself. Good product and MADE IN THE USA!!!!!

I bought this. I actually tracked it down and drove a 150 miles so I could pick it up myself. I bought a drain extension at the same time. First thing I did before adding the oil was install the drain. The drain plug just snapped right off. I was speechless. When I caught my breath I threw the thing in the truck and drove it over to a machine shop and they had to heat it to remove it. Someone had used red loctie on it. Must have been a joke on someones last work day. i could have just returned it but that was what i wanted and i drove a long way to get it. i filled it with oil and never looked back. i am very pleased with its performance. i recently changed the compressor oil for the 3rd time and began using mobil one synthetic oil in it. the drain extension is a must because its just too much trouble to empty without it. and if you dont drain it regularly you will develop holes sooner rather than later. i drain the water on a schedule. i dont think its as loud as some i have heard. there are lots of compressors to choose from this a good one.
