I wanted a 8 X10 dark gray area rug for my living room. And this area rug is just that. It's soft to walking on and looks beautiful. It has that shag look but nothing like we had in the 60's and 70's. This is much nicer.. Great price since this has been on sale this holiday season. The carpet was packed and shipped very nicely. It feels soft and cushy to walk on. I chose the light cream color, which is bright but may show dirt over time. However, I find that a damp soapy cloth works well for cleaning. Since I live alone with just a cat and no kids, I only wear socks or clean slippers on the carpet—never shoes. This carpet may not be suitable for everyone, but it is soft and offers good quality for the price. I paid around $27 for the 8 x 10 size.
