For a floor lamp that looks like wood from a distance, it's terrific: sturdy and heavy, not wobbly. I wanted a lamp that stands in the corner, gives me light, and does not call attention to itself. The switch is a simple on/off. The bulb is strange; who wants a bulb that changes color every time you turn it on?

So easy to assemble! It's already together! You pull it out of the packing and start at the bottom stacking one threaded piece on top of another. The cord is already threaded. You will only need to stretch the shade around 2 hoops to assemble it. Very easy as it merely snaps into place around the top metal hoop and the bottom metal hoop. There was a tiny blemish on one small spot of lamp stand. It's a tiny white blemish which can be darkened with a furniture marker pen. The shade is a natural beige linen look and very modern style. Overall I'm very happy with the lamp quality and the ease of assembly.
