The Safe-er-Grip Bathtub and Shower Handle is the perfect bath safety item for anyone who needs that extra confidence and assist to balance themselves getting in or out of the tub or shower, but who does not necessarily need to use their full body weight to pull themselves up that a traditional screw in the wall permanent grab bar provides. The suction cup design makes the bar easy to attach, remove, or relocate where the bar is needed for use. For intended results, the product must be placed on a smooth, dry, non-porous surface. For installation on the tile; tile must be 4" x 4" or greater. It features a clean and sleek looking white finish with white under the molding. It also features a textured grip for additional stability and comfort while gripping the bar for balance.

A nice surprise
I ordered this grab bar because after recent surgeries I needed something to add stability for my showers in our stand alone shower. Even though the product states it is not for holding a person's entire weight, I was skeptical of any grab bar that attaches with suction cups. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised at the strength of this product. We attached it to the smooth wall of the shower using the latches as directed. Once attached it held very tightly, even when my husband tried it and leaned heavily on it. I used it to assist getting in the shower and for turning around in the shower. I found it easy to grab and it added a good level of security for me in the space. We found we originally attached it a bit low. It was quick and easy to re-position it to a higher level. I would definitely recommend this product to friends who need added stability in their showers or for getting in or out or a tub.

Although the suction cups advertised to work for 4-in tiles, I could not find a way to position the handle without crossing over a gap between the tiles. Therefore , I could not get solid suction on both cups . I suppose I could fill the gap in with grout, but it is not what I expected.
