Welcome to Modern Day Accents, your number one source for Contemporary and Transitional Decorative Accessories and Accent Furniture. Founded in 1953, this 3rd Generation Family Company was started in New York by Lou Ehrlich selling ""Everything for the Fireplace"" under the name Lou Ehrlich Incorporated. While son-in-law Larry Bard joined the company a decade later, he spurred a new trend which eventually evolved from fireplace accessories to general giftware selling the finest of solid brass pieces. During that time, the name was changed to Brasscrafters, Inc. and Larry's sons Steven and Richard joined the company. Eventually expanding into other Metal and Asian Wood Products, the name was changed to Bard International, removing a brass only moniker while identifying a vaster more worldly decor. Presently, known as Modern Day Accents our company offers a glamorous selection of Modern and Transitional Style Accessories and Accent Furniture.
