This mixpresso stainless moka pot is one of the better ways to make quasi-expresso. Stainless is less susceptible to overheating the coffe than aluminum. So fill the bowl with preheated water to the bottom of the brass valve, add the coffee funnel with coffee simply leveled off at the top (not tamped), place the assembled unit on a 3/4 high electric burner, and watch for the clear dark brown stream to emerge in the upper unit shortly after. Once this stream begins to emerge, move 1/2 the pot off the burner to lower temp while keeping a steady stream flowing. As soon as you see a frothy bubbling emerge at the end of the stream, pull the pot off and immediately pour your coffee. There will be some water left in the bowl as it can not draw the water below the funnel end. This pot makes enough for 2 full US coffee cups. A 3 cup version sould be used for 1 US cup.
