It is small and perfect for a smaller place. It runs quietly on low, a bit louder on hi, but no more than any other window unit. I had a bit of a time installing it, the directions for installing the side pieces, were not that informative, but eventually I figured it out. But I still haven't figured out how to lock them in place, but oh well tape works. lol.
