I love that I can have it as a rolling stool or a flat wheeled bed. I've been using it in my home to paint trim and wash floors and lower cabinets. I am middle aged and out of shape so it allows me to feel more independent. It does not have any locking wheels. I find it very sturdy and I'm no lightweight. the instructions were easy to follow. One of those things you never knew you needed until you tried it out!
