This is a heavy duty shovel as opposed to just a wider, plastic shovel. Meaning, it has weight to it. If you're just going to push snow off to the side and not lift it up, this is going to be great. If you intend to lift that snow at the end of the push, consider the extra weight and width you're dealing with. The weight speaks for itself, but the width is going to make the shovel harder to balance when lifting. There are ergonomic handles you can add to the existing, straight handle that may make lifting easier, but in general, pusher shovels are not designed to lift and require extra effort to do so. I find this shovel to be a fine addition, working in conjunction with other shovels and the snow blower, to clear snow. Assembly is easy but aligning the holes in the handle, with the blade, is a bit tricky. I drew a straight line through the holes so I could see the positioning of the holes through the holes in the blade as it slid in. Make sure the handle is seated tightly into the blade. Putting some silicone on the end of the handle makes things a bit easier as well.
