The Mainstays 5/16” diameter 21-38" Adjustable Swivel Sash Rod is ideal for close fitting drapery treatments on windows or doors and can be mounted on the inside of the window casing or mounted outside on a flat surface. The telescoping sash rod adjusts from 21 inches to 38 inches and the mounting brackets abut the mounting surface with a 1/4 inch clearance. The slim profile is the perfect complement to tier curtains on windows or lightweight curtains on doors. The 5/16” diameter metal rod has a white finish and brass ends. Mounting hardware included.

Perfect for my Spice Shelves!
August 2025: My husband made me a shelving unit for my spices (June 2025), and I wanted a curtain in front of it. I needed a THIN curtain rod that would stay in place, and this was PERFECT! In the first photo, you can see the rod holders; in the second photo, the curtain is hanging; and in the third photo, you can see how the rod stays in place, even though I am pulling back the curtain. This was Great! I love it!

This rod has a minor design flaw. Once you attack the piece to the door or window frame, it is difficult to get the rod tip into the intended slot. What worked for me was to take a screwdriver and bend the slot open just a tiny bit more, and the rod tip went in much easier.
