We like this rug, in some ways, so far. It arrives folded into a compact cube. The folds are smoothing out, but are still visible; it has been 48 hours so far. I'm getting worried about that. It is very soft and dense to the touch, which we like. It's thin, so you will want a layer under it, such as a rug pad, and/or a grip mat. The color pattern: I think the colors in the photos have been heightened a bit. In all photos, the gold looks like 24k gold leaf scattered over a blue sky to me. It's an incredible design vision for a rug! Our rug has the feeling of a blue sky, but that gold look is a cool beige and tan. Not a warm golden tan but cooler, duller. I can see that the print is like a photo of gold leaf bits, but the color tones don't make you think of that. It does have an interesting effect, abstractly, but does not bring "gold leaf" to mind. The browns in it do make the rug coordinate with a hardwood floor and furniture, and balance the blue. Oak is a bit warmer in tone than the rug, though. Lastly, we bought more than one, and the colors are a bit lighter in one than the other.
