Linksys E1200 Wireless-N Router: An Excellent Buy

Since I'm running Linux instead of Windows, I was a bit concerned about using this router since it includes a CD with Windows software to set up the router. Knowing a bit about this, however, I simply read the documentation to learn the url for the router, and was able to go to that url in my browser and set up the router just fine. It's been an excellent addition and now lets me use my Android phone on wi-fi instead of over 3G, since the wi-fi is far faster, giving me the same cable speed on my phone that I get on my PC.

Perfect Router

This router is perfect. My old router wouldn't allow my smart phone to get wifi in my house so I needed a new one and this one worked like a charm. And it only took three easy step, like super easy. All I had to do was put in a cd and follow the steps on the computer, now my phone along with all of my other devices can connect to the Internet wirelessly. Super easy, I love it!!!

So far so good.

Please be aware that I have only had this router for 3 weeks when this review was posted. Therefore, I cannot comment on the lifespan of this router, and how long it will be in excellent working condition. My best advice to better protect yourself from defective equipment is to purchase a warranty on the item. When I ordered the Linksys E1200 Wireless Router from WalMart I was offered a 1 year warranty from Walmart for $3, which I accepted even though Linksys gave me a 90 day warranty. I have 2 LAN and at least 5 wireless devices online 24/7 with the Linksys E1200 Wireless Router. LAN - Magic Jack [x1] - Desktop PC [x1] Wireless - Laptop [x2] - Smartphone/IPOD [x2] - Desktop [x1] I have this router connected to my Cisco DPC3010 modem using Charter Plus 30mbps/4mbps Residential Internet, and I've done speedtests while connected wirelessly and ethernet, and both speedtest was excellent. As I said earlier, I've only had this router for 3 weeks, and despite all the negative reviews on this router that I have read on walmart,ebay,amazon,newegg this router has been a great router for me! I have not had any "dropped" signals, slow speeds, interference, setup troubles, or any problems yet. Setup was easy, price was reasonable, Shipping was not possible since my local walmart had this item in stock, stability has been excellent. I do online gaming for games like WoW and TF2, and so far I have no had any connection problems while gaming. I have not had any problems using Magic Jack with this router/modem/internet either. I would recommend this item to others who need it for your standard residential wireless networking needs.
