Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15.6 inch Windows Laptop AMD Ryzen 3-7320U 8GB RAM 256GB SSD Abyss Blue

Basic but functional laptop for browsing, word processing, streaming videos, or playing older games. I have a bulkier 18" gaming laptop that will eat its battery in an hour, even after a new battery replacement and being set on battery saver. This Lenovo 15" AMD VG2 last ALL day when simply browsing. It comes with Windows 11 Home in S mode(You can opt out of S mode to install non-Microsoft software). I've used this heavily for streaming, research, and now making the review of the laptop. The AMD Ryzen 7320u has a 610m graphics engine. This is fine for playing older titles on the minimum settings at 1080P. This isn't a gaming laptop, but it will handle RTS style games, and lighter MMOS on the lower settings. The body is plastic, not alloy like costlier laptops. So there is some keyboard flex. It has a USB-C on the side, but that is for data only, so no charging via a laptop-capable portable power brick. The keyboard is not backlit, but i haven't found that to be an issue. And I have backlit on my other laptops and gaming desktop. This is lightweight, has a good sized 15.6" anti-glare screen. Its bright enough thanks to the anti-glare not making the screen compete with reflections. The RAM isn't upgradable, so you're stuck with the 8GB. 8GB is the minimum I'd recommend for a general use laptop. The M.2 SSD is upgradable, but for the sake of expense I am leaving this machine alone. It does exactly what I need. The power button doubles as a finger print scanner, and that feature works well. The speakers aren't bad for the size of the laptop. With the provided 65w charger, the laptop charges quickly. Around 1 hour from dead to 100%. The single fan is very quiet even when doing more demanding tasks. For being a darker color the finish is fairly smudge-free. I almost got the i3 version but wanted to give the Ryzen 3 a try. No regrets.
