Lasko 16" Galaxy Oscillating Pedestal Fan with 3 Speeds, 47" H, White, S16100, New

I chose this fan because of the low price and it had the basic type features that I wanted. It oscilates and can also direct the air flow without turning if you pull up the knob on the top of the fan. It has three speeds. It does not have a remote control, but I knew that when I purchased the fan. I like that the fan base on the floor is round instead of the four feet - which those I tend to trip over. The fan does put out a lot of air. Another reason I chose the fan is that the blades were slimmer, leaving more space in between the blades to circulate the air better. I bought two fans, one I put in my teenage son's room and he says the same thing - that the fan puts out more air than the ones we had before with the more rounded blades. So, I am very pleased with my purchase. And, as always, Wal-Mart shipped them to my home very quickly.

This is a good basic stand fan that has 3 manual speed controls and also manual oscillation control. The head does tilt up and down and the height is also adjustable between 32 to 47 inches, no tools needed to put together. This oscillation is much wider than my Lasko stand fan that's only a year old so I can tell they improved it. It seems a little louder than my Lasko stand fan on the lowest setting but it's not unbearable. The grill took a few minutes to snap in place but it's the same with all stand fans. Overall it's a good fan for the money.
