This is a great handheld vacuum. I bought it because I have been doing a lot of shredding and when those little paper popcorn critters fall on the carpet/floor, it is hard to get them up. This has worked really well for that. It has been such a help in so may areas of my home because I have trouble with my hands and tend to drop or spill dry things often. The canister is very easy to empty but takes a little practice. Maybe that is just me because of my hands. It picks up everything I have used it on and you can use it to reach under items and retrieve things the vacuum cannot get. It picks up heavy dust collections and works great on baseboards. I think it would work well to clean ceiling fans but I don't do ladders anymore and you would need to get up there, unless you are really tall. It is fairly lightweight but does have a bit of blowback when you use it. I've been trying to figure out if I can use it as a blower for small areas! It charges easily and holds the charge a decent amount of time with light use. The instructions say it will run 30 minutes on a full charge but I just use it for spot cleaning so I can't say how long it runs. I think this would work really well when cleaning the car - but - I don't have kids so the interior of my car doesn't really get dirty. It has good balance and is easy to use and carry, even for us old folks. It isn't very loud or at least the sound it makes is not irritating and doesn't hurt my ears. I highly recommend this item as a great little problem solver at a reasonable price. Love Black and Decker!

This hand vacuum makes life easier in trying to pick up dirt and other bits of trash on house floors and in the autos. At times you can use a broom to sweep the house floors and then you can use this small vacuum a dirt pile. No dust pan needed! It is well engineered and built for many cleaning tasks. It is also easy to remove the vacuumed matter from the vacuum. Have used these dust buster vacuums for years and they make cleaning up very easy. Black %26 Decker make good stuff.
