Prefer soft close

i was expecting the same toilet seat that came with the original Kathryn - one that has a soft close lid. Not a fan of this one. Love Kohler, as all our toilets are Kohler, but was disappointed in the replacement seat.

Lower strength than previous purchases

Purchased two of these seats about 10 years ago. Great quality and excellent strength. The seat I purchased one month ago looks to be the same external quality. But, the strength of the seat is sub-par. The front of the seat will flex if light pressure is applied to the front portion of the seat. Concerned about the seat cracking if someone sits on the front of the seat.

Beautiful and sturdy but the finish on the seat wears off or scratches fairly easily. Not sure its worth the money paid.
