Inferior quality than original for Memoir elongated toilet

This toilet seat is apparently a new version, the previous toilet seat is no longer being made, what a pity as this new one is not at all as comfortable and sturdy as the previous model. Makes no sense to exchange a good product with one of lesser quality. Would happily have paid more for the original seat
