I've only had these knives for a short time, but they have been sharp and effective so far. I have had a few ceramic knives in the past, still have them, and they have stayed sharp over all the years I have had them. Never need to sharpen them either.

Smooth, balanced, useful

Ceramic knives are a preference thing with people. They tend to chip and therefore dull over time, but also, for years, they are smooth-cutting and super sharp. They're inexpensive and I love them. This is a great set with useful sizes and even a peeler. The protective sheaths fit tightly on to protect them in your drawer. I like this set a lot because the handle has some nice heft to it. It just feels nice and balanced to use.

Ceramic Knives Rule

I love ceramic knives. They are SHARP, stay sharp as long as you have them. Only drawbacks to ceramic is they will chip and break if treated roughly. I just chopped/sliced everything for a big pot roast in record time compared to my "high quality" metal knives.
