Surprisingly durable!
Durable even in freezing temperatures. I bought a fancy feeder with a spring to discourage squirrels. The copper lid stopped fitting and the spring gave out in 3 months so the feeder holes were no longer visible to the birds. I replaced it with these two basic feeders and they work great. The lid is configured with the hanger going through the sides so that rain doesn't go straight into the seed tube. I thought for the price it would be poor quality. No so. It's a very good product.

The birds like them. And I like them because they don't let the rain pool up in the bottom like some of the other styles do so that the seeds soak up in there and then the birds can't get them out so they rot.
