Shark Wheel Jr. is a 'spin-off of their original Shark Wheel- a high-performance wheel that provides better control. I got this for my 6 year old nephew and he really loves it; in fact, his 7 year old sister loves it too and they fight over this one so I bought another one for her. It's easy for them to ride and they both enjoy it very much; not they're no longer "kid on the block without a skateboard". Quality stiff penny board! Shark Wheels!
The truckbase (wheelbase) is a touch longer than other penny boards, and more stable. It is a stiff deck vs flexible like most other penny boards, and at speed, it helps stability. I am a 125 lb. experienced adult rider and Shark Wheels help in the small gravel I encounter. They do help with hydroplaning. All the components on mine are good quality, and the bearings are better than the sea of cheap shortboards. This is NOT just a beginner board. It is a steal and a total sleeper. Kazam sucked at marketing it, and it is a BEST BUY. I'm ordering another. If you like a flex, try the other Kazam, the black one with the higher tail. In my case, I instead upgraded a Kryptonics Torpedo, and don't need another standard flex penny. I own five. The Shark Wheels alone are worth the total price. I swear by mine.
