It uses an internal thermostat to keep the temperature at a desirable 102 when the pet lies upon the heated pad; and will remain 10-15 degrees above ambient air temperature when your pet is not on the bed. Soft PVC protects from water and a free removable, washable cover is included for easy care. The K&H Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Dog & Cat Beds are recommended for Indoor or outdoor use. Winter warmth

I purchased this for our 11 year-old dog. He suffered an accident in 2019 and since then his hip hasn't been the same. I noticed this winter was hard on his body causing more stiffness to his hip than usual. He also no longer had the excitement he used to have each morning to go to work with my husband around the farm. I googled and found this bed. I immediately ordered hoping it would help him and it has! It's amazing that immediately the next day and from then on forward he has been back to his routine of going to work with my husband each morning in this colder weather! So glad it has brought him relief. The only thing I would like to see changed is the fleece cover. It doesn't stay on securely because it doesn't wrap all the way around. Because I have a big dog, due to his weight it comes off and bunches up. Other than that, it's absolutely a great product!
