June Bug Records' Jackson Delaney revitalizes the Outlaw Country movement, an art form of days gone by, in his self-titled, six-track LP scheduled for official release April 9, 2013. Produced by Gary Hannan, and featuring tracks written by Eddie Montgomery, Troy Gentry, Dave Gibson, Ray Scott and more, Jackson Delaney is complete with love stories, tongue-and-cheek tunes and deep, provoking compositions, and showcases his radio debut single entitled "Shotgun Wedding." A baseball pitcher hailing from the small town of Southington, Ohio with a "field of dreams" before him, Jackson Delaney suffered a shoulder injury that closed the door to a promising professional baseball career. He hung his cleats, picked up the guitar and turned toward an alternate passion to shine under a different spotlight--to become a career-recording artist. "The power and influence of music is undeniable; I didn't choose music, music chose me," Jackson Delaney introduced. "I was blessed to be able to walk right into another passion that just seemed to be waiting for me. When I arrived in Nashville, I stopped to have a beer; I've been playing that pub now for four years!" Delaney's distinctive voice reveals the rare ability to authenticate and translate music into stories with every resonating lyric and note. Delaney is a "story guy" who "moves" emotion...to break a heart, swoon in love or chug a beer. Dubbed the 'epitome of the real deal,' his music is steeped in the foundation laid before him by Waylon, Cash and Haggard-sounds from a distant past that country fans long to hear. The hurler's premiere album showcases the diverse range of talent that resides within this all-star caliber artist and beams from the singer's good ole boy, baritone chops. The Outlaw rock anthem, "Shotgun Wedding," (written by Gary Hannan, Eddie Montgomery and Phil O'Donnell and set to hit radio airwaves in April--PlayMPE/February 18 CDX/March 4) tells the story of a fearful young groom as he steps to the altar with judgment and scorn upon his cold feet. The up-tempo banjo pulls the trigger to set the stage for "love and a baby carriage" while co-writer Eddie Montgomery's signature screaming guitar licks hit the target and the percussion heartbeat elevate the anticipation of the chorus to surmise the fearful lad's final decision: "Will the father-to-be turn and run or enter eternal marital bliss?" With steady rhythms, infectious riffs and poignant lyrics penned in cuts like "Ugly, Lucky And Me," "Long Black Cadillac," "Good Drugs" and "You Make Me Wanna," Delaney is in the running to join the circles occupied by our modern-day "outlaws" (Jamey Johnson, Eric Lee Beddingfield and Levi Lowrey). Surrounded by some of Nashville's most respected songwriters (Dave Gibson, Gary Hannan, Eddie Montgomery, Phil O'Donnell and Chris Wallin), Delaney's self-titled release is on deck to be an out-of-the-park, homerun in the country music format. Jackson Delaney will be available via all major Internet outlets. Radio Promotion ("Shotgun Wedding") will be headed by Grassroots Promotion, Nashville.
